WeedingMAPs Working Group 4 Launches Strategic Action Plan in Warsaw

Within the weedingMAPs COST Action CA23123, Working Group 4 met in Warsaw, Poland, on 27 March 2025 to advance knowledge co-creation for non-chemical weed management. Participants established task leadership, planned stakeholder engagement activities, and developed a strategic action plan to support medicinal and aromatic plant farmers.

The workshop focused on the activities of Working Group 4 and its role in strengthening knowledge sharing, co-creation, and innovation within the WeedingMAPs network. Participants selected Task Leaders and Co-leaders and agreed on priorities for building a stakeholder network across the medicinal and aromatic plant sector.

Discussions centred on identifying key actors throughout the value chain, including farmers, machinery providers, researchers, and policy makers. During a hybrid session, participants reviewed implementation timelines, reporting requirements, and future workshop plans. The meeting concluded with the development of an action plan that will support future collaboration and contribute to the adoption of sustainable, non-chemical weed management practices across Europe.
