The workshop focused on the decision-making process at the farm level. Participants specifically targeted sustainable practices for medicinal and aromatic plants (MAPs).
Partners and experts from 40 countries joined the event on May 25–26, 2026. Over these two days, researchers and agricultural stakeholders from across Europe exchanged valuable knowledge and experiences. They highlighted practical approaches that farmers can easily implement on their land.
Alongside the technical sessions, the program included an enrichment field visit. Participants traveled to Ljubuški to visit the Helichrysum italicum plantation at EKO AROMATIK d.o.o. This visit provided first-hand, practical insights into real-world cultivation and sustainable plantation management.
The sessions fostered intense discussions on innovation in agriculture and knowledge transfer. Attendees particularly emphasized the active engagement of young farmers and start-ups. The project recognizes these groups as key drivers for developing future ecological solutions.
This event created an excellent opportunity for collaboration. It strengthened international partnerships in sustainable agriculture. The shared insights will help reduce chemical use in farming and protect biodiversity. You can find more details about the presented topics in the official book of abstracts.
