EU Agricultural Policy Conference: Shaping the Future in Trilj

The international conference "What about EU agricultural policies in European countries?" was held on September 18th–19th, 2025, in Trilj and Sinj, Croatia. This event was a key activity of WG2 within the international weedingMAPs (CA23123) project network, which brings together partners from 20 European countries to discuss sustainable agricultural advancements.

Conference Highlights

The two-day event focused on the implementation of the European Green Deal, the Farm to Fork Strategy, and the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) 2023–2027. Experts from across Europe and beyond shared research on non-chemical weed control, the economic potential of medicinal herbs, and digital transitions in rural areas.

A central goal was evaluating how national strategic plans adapt EU provisions to the specific needs of local farming communities. Participants also toured local facilities, including an organic plantation and the CEKOM 3LJ "Inspiration Plant" featuring advanced supercritical CO2 extraction technology.
