University of Tuzla

Faculty of Technology
The Faculty of Technology at the University of Tuzla was established in 1959. Located in a region with a long tradition in the chemical industry, the Faculty offers education in various technological disciplines, enabling students to keep pace with contemporary trends in technological development. The Faculty provides undergraduate, master's and doctoral programmes in the following fields: Agronomy, Chemical Engineering and Technology, Environmental Protection Engineering and Food Technology. These programmes are designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to address contemporary technological and industrial challenges.
Role in the project
Amra Bratovcic
Professor Amra Bratovcic is a full professor in the Department of Physical Chemistry and Electrochemistry at the University of Tuzla. Her research covers various areas of physical chemistry and electrochemistry, with a particular focus on agricultural applications. She has investigated the physical and chemical properties of agricultural waste, including its use in synthesising silver nanoparticles and evaluating their antioxidant properties. She has also explored nanotechnology-based solutions, such as nanopesticides and nanofertilisers, which are intended to enhance agricultural productivity and sustainability. By bridging the gap between chemical sciences and practical agricultural applications, Prof. Bratovcic is making a significant contribution to advancing research in this field. Prof. Bratovcic is actively involved in Working groups 1 and 3 of the Weed Management in Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (MAPs) project, focusing on non-chemical weed management in MAPs, and she serves as the project's Science Communication Coordinator.
