University of Banja Luka, Faculty of Sciences and Mathematics

The Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics in Banja Luka is one of the institutions covering the fields of natural, mathematical, and computer sciences in Bosnia and Herzegovina. With eight study programs (Biology, Geography, Ecology and Environmental protection, Mathematics and computer science, Spatial planning, Technical education and informatics, Physics, Chemistry) and numerous profiles, the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics (PMF) offers a rich learning experience that encourages diversity of interests and guides students towards achieving individual goals. The study programs at the Faculty enable the realization of educational and scientific research work, contributing to the development of knowledge in the field of natural sciences and the application of research results in teaching and practice. Scientific research is implemented through theoretical and experimental research conducted by our staff in collaboration with a large number of scientists worldwide.

Role in the project

Dino Hasanagić

Dino Hasanagić is an assistant professor and researcher at the Department of Biology, Chair for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. He is actively dedicated to the development of laboratory experiments in the field of plant biochemistry, combining his knowledge with colleagues from related scientific disciplines. He focuses his research on the study of plant antioxidants, the metabolism of medicinal plants, and the biochemical-physiological responses of plants under different stress conditions. 
In this COST action, Dino Hasanagić serves as the MC member representing Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH). He actively participates in the activities of working group 3 (WG3 - Sustainability, Performance, and Profitability of New Innovations and Technology) and working group 5 (WG5 - Networking and Knowledge Exchange).
