FiBL Switzerland - Research Institute of Organic Agriculture Switzerland
The Research Institute of Organic Agriculture FiBL was founded in 1973 and has been situated in Frick (canton of Aargau) since 1997. It is one of the world's leading research and information centers for organic agriculture and employs over 300 people in Switzerland. The close links between different fields of research and the rapid transfer of knowledge from research to advisory work and agricultural practice are FiBL's strengths. The competence of FiBL Switzerland is also sought after beyond the Swiss borders. Thus, FiBL is involved in numerous international projects – not only in research, consultancy and training but also in development cooperation.
Role in the project
Anja Vieweger
Anja Vieweger is leading the group Vegetables and Herbs in the Department of Crop Sciences at FiBL in Switzerland. In numerous national and international projects, she is active in both research and consultancy, working in close collaboration with farmers and growers, as well as a diverse network of research partners and institutions. The groups aim is to improve efficiency, quality and sustainability in vegetable and herb production based on organic principles, by identifying challenges, generating knowledge and co-developing practical solutions.
The roles of Anja Vieweger in this COST Action include Action Chair, Grantholder Scientific Representative and Deputy Leader of working group 5 - Networking and Knowledge Exchange.
