CEKOM 3LJ Institution for research and dissemination of knowledge in the field of nutrition and health

CEKOM 3LJ's aim is to provide research and development support to SMEs and industry interested in developing new agricultural products, functional foods, pharmaceuticals and natural cosmetics. Experienced staff and state-of-the-art equipment for chromatography (GC-MS, UHPLC-MS) and supercritical CO2 extraction of bioactive compounds from MAPs enable CEKOM 3LJ to position itself in innovation and research commercialisation by industry sector.

Role in the project

The area of Dalmatia has significant natural potential for the collection of wild MAPs, as well as for the organic cultivation of these herbs. During the processing of MAPs to the final product, it is extremely important to pay attention to the cultivation on unpolluted agricultural land. CEKOM 3LJ will contribute to the understanding of the above mentioned issues, provide advice and propose possible solutions, but also to all actions, including R&D if necessary.
